We inform the driver that we want to go to the Domestic Airport. He arrogantly checked several times to see if we are right! When we wanted to check in, we were informed that our airline would fly from International Airport. We drive back a few kilometres with our heads drawn in, but we still managed to get the flight![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n

In the first lodge of the Serengeti tour our accommodation is so big that we could easily park Globi in our vestibule. We are not used to such distances and hence search for our bedroom and the bathroom always with the GPS.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n

Our aim in Tanzania was to do a balloon ride across the Serengeti. Wake-up call for this trip was at 03.45h. At dawn we were able to get into the basket. Interestingly, the basket was lying on the side, so we had to crawl in the basket, laying on our backs! The ride was tremendous, just above the trees and the heads of the animals, a sensational experience. And the morning mood was unforgettable beautiful.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n

Exciting, however, was the landing. As with any flight, only the ground contact is the dangerous part. “Suddenly” the gas was running low and the large area near by the elephants was no longer reachable. We did a bush landing. The basket cut off several treetops and finally stuck between the trees.
