Most of the birds we observed in the Etosha Pan, were walking on the ground. Secretary bird, Kori bustard, Northern black korhaan, Red-crested korhaan, Blue crane and Blacksmith lapwing may prancing very gracefully across the steppe, on the other hand the Helmeted Guineafowl looks rather clumsy and have a funny way walking. To carry his beak the Southern Yellow-billed hornbill needs probably neck muscles like a bull. We did not liked the Marabou stork and the only ones we saw really flying were the Martial eagle, the Weaver birds and the Ducks.
